College Football Betting Odds: Will FAU Turn Things Around?

College football is for gamblers. Let's get that fact out of the way right off the bat. If not, then why would they put games on Tuesday nights when these student athletes have tests to study for?

The NCAA claims that they are against gambling on their sport. They say all the right things about how the education of their student athletes come first. That is why they have started to televise games on Tuesday nights.

Tonight's game, for all bettors who want to know about the teams playing, is between the FAU Owls and the Troy Trojans. This game has been circled on the Trojans schedule since the end of last year when the Owls defeated them and went on to win the conference title.

Coming into this season, FAU, led by legendary coach Howard Schnellenberger, had high expectations. The least of these expectations was repeating as conference champions and continuing to raise heads around division one football.

So far, they have not even come close to their expectations. They are a team who has lost several heartbreaking games and is now in danger of falling completely out of the conference race. Troy, on the other hand, is ready to feed off of the trouble FAU has had.

The betting line for tonight's game in Boca Raton, Florida, is in most sports books, Troy minus four. The total for the game is 51, meaning that odds makers are expecting a wide open offensive explosion.
