College Football Betting Preview: #8 TCU At #16 BYU
BYU came into the season with one of the best chances for a non-BCS conference team to bust up the BCS standings. That opportunity became even larger after they knocked off Oklahoma in the first game of the season.
Since then, however, BYU has stumbled, and it is now TCU and Boise State with the best chances to get to a BCS bowl game. Boise State is the number four team in the country and appears to have the easier road to a perfect season.
TCU, the nation's number eight team, will face their stiffest challenge of the year on Saturday. They go on the road to play a BYU team that feels they are as good as any team in the country. BYU is ranked number sixteen, and the game will be the only one of the weekend featuring two top twenty teams.
As for the teams at the top of the BCS standings, Alabama may have the toughest game. The Crimson Tide will play Tennessee, a team that at times has looked great, and other times looked horrendous. Which Volunteer team shows up could determine whether or not Alabama should be on upset alert.
The top ranked Florida Gators will go on the road to face Mississippi State. This should not be too difficult a task for the Gators, but they have played down to their competition on several occasions already this season.
Texas, the number three team, will also be on the road in conference play. The Longhorns travel to play the Missouri Tigers. While the Tigers are not having the type season they have in the past couple of years, they still present a tough challenge for Texas.
