College Football Futures For BCS Championship Released
The odds are out in the chase for the College Football national title, and Ohio State is the early season favorite to bring the trophy back to Columbus.
The list, published by VIP Sports, corresponds tightly with the preseason polls that have been released.
Ohio State comes off as a 5-1 favorite. Notre Dame, which is a popular choice any time they field a strong team comes in second at 6-1. Another popular choice this year has been West Virginia, and they are the third choice at 6.5-1.
A bunch of teams are bunched in the middle some of them include Texas 8-1, USC 12-1, Florida 12-1, Auburn 14-1, and Oklahoma at 15-1. The Oklahoma number is sure to fall after they recently dismissed their starting quarterback from the team.
Two teams that will see their odds change dramatically after week one are Miami and Florida State, both of whom are right now at 20-1 to win the title. However, whoever wins their showdown on Monday night will see their number shrink considerably and vice versa for the loser.
A couple of long shots from the odds perspective are Boston College and South Carolina both ste at 100-1. However neither team is very far out of the top 25 polls right now.
