College Football Picks: Georgia Tech, Vanderbilt Aim To Upset
The Florida Gators have been playing perhaps the best football in the nation over the past couple of months. If history tells us anything, however, it is that when the Gators seem most on top of their game is when they usually stumble.
This week they will go on the road to face a Vanderbilt team that many considered a good team in the early parts of the season. It has not turned out that way as the season has progressed, but Vanderbilt players and fans know that a win over the Gators would be sweet.
"Florida is one of the best teams in the country and they are shooting for a national title. If we can beat them and ruin their season it would make our season," said Vandy fan Chris Bolter.
In an intriguing ACC match up, Georgia Tech finds themselves as underdogs to North Carolina on Saturday, despite the fact that they lead the ACC's Coastal division. The Tarheels are four point favorites at home.
If Georgia Tech beats North Carolina, and the Miami Hurricanes defeat Virginia Tech next Thursday night, it would set up a showdown between the Yellow Jackets and the Hurricanes for the Coastal lead.
