College Hoops Betting Becomes The Main Draw With Football Done
The college football season is a time when gamblers rejoice in their ability to try and pick winners. Not many of them succeed, but they still have a blast trying. Now that is all over.
The regular season has ended for college football teams and that marks a shift in gambling from football to basketball. In recent years, more and more gamblers have gravitated towards college hoops.
The game of college basketball is significantly shorter than a college football game. Gamblers can spend less time watching these games and can usually get various bets in throughout the night. Late night West Coast games occur almost every night.
Many gamblers also believe that college basketball is easier to handicap than college football. Noe evidence of this is available, but it does not stop bettors from believing it.
"I love to bet on college basketball games. I just get to know the conferences real well, and then I pick my match ups according to my system," said Randy Hanover.
This season, North Carolina has led the way so far. The Tar Heels have had several injuries, but have still started the season 8-0. Big East teams Pittsburgh, Syracuse, and Connecticut are also undefeated.
College basketball will keep the spotlight for another week or two before the college football bowl games begin. Then, basketball will once again take center stage from January through March.
