Colts And Patriots Square Off Again, This Time In Indy

Every great team in sports has to go through a process to get to the top of their profession, and many times, that process includes getting over a hurdle that has yet to be conquered.

That hurdle, for the Indianapolis Colts, is the New England Patriots. The Cowboys had the 49ers, the Packers had the Cowboys, the Ravens had the Steelers, and now the Colts have the Patriots.

New England has been a thorn in Peyton Manning's side ever since the Pats have established themselves as the class of the AFC a few years back. The Colts fell they have had better teams than the Pats, but it is always New England who has won the games in the playoffs.

Now the Colts get another chance to dethrone the conferences dynasty, but this time there will be one major difference from the last two playoff meetings, the game will be played on Indy's own turf.

Neither team had home field advantage coming into the divisional round of the playoffs, but they upset the conferences top two teams San Diego and Baltimore on the road and that leaves the championship to be at the home of #3 seed Indianapolis.

The Patriots have the world's best clutch quarterback in Tom Brady, who has tortured his counterpart Manning for much of his career. Sunday Manning will look to reverse his fortune against Brady, and lead his team to th their first Super Bowl with him at the controls.

Brady will be looking to advance to his fourth Super Bowl in six years. New England has won all three they have played in under Brady.

Game time is at 6:30. The line is Colts -3, and the total is 47.5.
