Colts Put Undefeated Record On The Line Against The Patriots
New England has been known as the nemesis for Peyton Manning and the Colts for the past few years, and on Sunday night the Colts will travel to once again try to slay their dragon.
Indy comes into the game with a perfect 7-0 record and is coming off a game in which they went on the road and defeated the Denver Broncos on the strength of a last minute Manning drive and a game winning field goal by former Patriot icon Adam Vinatieri.
New England comes off a Monday night game where they went on the road and dominated the upstart Minnesota Vikings. Quarterback Tom Brady threw four touchdowns in the victory. The Patriots after starting 0-1 have won six straight setting up Sunday's showdown in Foxboro.
Indianapolis has been a team that has been solid for the past four seasons but have never been able to overtake the Patriots as the AFC's best team.
This is the second year in a row that the Colts have started 7-0 and some believe that if they can upset the Pats in New England that they can run the table and go undefeated.
New England has been a team that, after their first loss, and the loss of wide receiver Deion Branch, was left for dead by most prognosticators. After six straight wins, the Pats once again have shown the doubters that they are still one of the top class organizations in the league, and with a win on Sunday they will once again be the favorite to represent the AFC in the super bowl.
The game is set for 8:15 and will be aired as part of NBC's football night in America.
