Dirk Nowitzki Unstoppable for the Mavericks

That's the tag line on Dallas' hottest selling t-shirt, referring to the incredible play of forward Dirk Nowitzki this postseason. Unfortunately for the Phoenix Suns , they have had the best seats in the house for the big German's rise to NBA superstardom and have been able to do little about it.

This was apparent in Dirk's 50-point outburst in Thursday's 117-101 win in Game 5, giving the Mavs a crucial 3-2 lead with Game 6 set for tonight back in Phoenix. No matter who the Suns threw at him, be it Tim Thomas, Shawn Marion or Boris Diaw, Dirk was able to get his shot off every time, or at least get to the free-throw line. That must have also been the thinking of Suns backers after their team failed to cover the 6 1/2 point dog tag oddsmakers pinned on them Thursday night.

Shaq and the Heat will definitely pose a threat to Dirk's masterful play. However, look for Dirk to use his three-point shooting ability to drive Shaq away from the basket.
