Dodgers Betting Odds Increase With Manny Ramirez Trade

The Los Angeles Dodgers have not been able to really put together the kind of season that Joe Torre expected when he took over the talented team before this year. They have struggled to stay around five hundred all year.

It is amazing how one day can change the outlook of a team. A team that has been inconsistent all year, suddenly looks like the favorites in the National League West after trading for Manny Ramirez.

The Florida Marlins were the team that many experts expected to land Ramirez. That would have been a huge accomplishment for a team with a twenty million dollar payroll.

It was not to be for Florida, however. The big market Dodgers swept in and stole Ramirez away in the last hour before the trading deadline.

Boston did not come away completely empty handed. They picked up Jason Bay from the Pirates. bay is actually having a better season than Ramirez so far this year.

It is the Dodgers that come away the winners though. They instantly have increased their betting odds of winning the World Series. If Ramirez is content in Dodger blue, it could mean a strong run at a championship.
