Falcons Life After Vick Goes on Tonight Against Giants
The Atlanta Falcons went from being expected to compete for a division title, to the laughingstock of the league all in one off season thanks to ex-superstar quarterback Michael Vick.
Now, the Falcons are forced to play a Monday Night game in which they will have to relive that disastrous off season on national television as the broadcast team is sure to discuss the situation throughout the game.
The New York Giants, unfortunately, will be the opponent of the Falcons and that will mean that New York will have to avoid the distractions of Atlanta and also avoid an upset.
The Giants, after starting the season 0-2, have won three straight, and after the Cowboys loss on Sunday, can move within one game of the division lead.
Atlanta, on the other hand, is a team going nowhere since they lost their starting quarterback right before the season. They have struggled to find any consistency on offense and that weakness has translated into only one win so far this year.
If the Falcons have any hope of turning their season around, this would be the time to start as they will be out to show the country that they have not quit after being dealt a bad hand.
Game time, as always on Monday night is 8:30 and will be televised live on ESPN.
