Fantasy Baseball Owners Have One More Week To Prepare For Drafts
Fantasy Baseball owners have a different passion than Fantasy Football owners. They take their game much more serious. They must, since it spans nearly six months.
With the final week of exhibition games upcoming, fantasy owners must now begin making final preparations for drafts that will be held throughout the next seven days.
The game has changed from where it was just five years ago. Fantasy sports in general have taken on a life of their own. Every major sports channel has a ticker at the bottom. That has not changed. What has changed is the amount of information those tickers produce.
In addition to the added television coverage, magazines scouting all the players has also become a big business. Finding sleepers in the field of players is now more difficult due to the amount of information available to every owner.
It used to be that a few hours of investigation would guarantee an owner an advantage in their drafts. Now, with everyone on the same playing field draft wise, the emphasis has been shifted to finding different ways to be innovative and out draft your opponents.
So with the baseball preseason coming to a close, fantasy owners will have just a precious few days to finish up their scouting. All that will be left is the thing that counts the most in fantasy drafts. Instinct and gut feeling.
