Fantasy Football Betting Heating Up As Season Nears

Fantasy football is just as big as poker in this country if not bigger, and the gambling has already begun in some leagues with drafts taking place over the next two weeks.

When people began relying heavily on the Internet, fantasy football leagues began popping up all across the Net.With almost every major sports news agency running their own leagues, fantasy football has become somewhat of a phenomenon.

This weekend, many people who participate in fantasy football will be attending drafts of all kinds. There will be small drafts held at peoples houses, and there will be large drafts which will be held on yachts.

Wherever the draft one thing is certain, people are spending a lot of money gambling on their skills in these leagues. While most gamblers are waiting for the regular season to begin betting, fantasy owners have already started forking over cash to their league commissioners.

Fantasy gambling has become so big in popularity that the government actually spent time last year telling anyone who would listen that taxes needed to be paid on money won in these leagues.

Not many players claimed their money, but that does not mean that it wasn't won. This year will be no different, and the fever has begun. The next couple of weeks will have these players jockeying for draft order, and also a piece of the prize fund.
