Fantasy Football Betting Winds Down With Playoffs Starting
The advancement of the Internet has helped Fantasy Football become one of the top gambling industries in the world. This week, the betting reaches a fever pitch with the playoffs beginning and not much room for error.
This has been another crazy year in fantasy football leagues all across the US. There have been surprises, both good and bad, that have either made good teams great or bad teams horrible. Some of those surprises came out of nowhere.
Cedric Benson will go down as possibly the single biggest difference make in this fantasy football season. he was left for dead by both the Bears and fantasy owners, but has responded to a move to the Cincinnati Bengals. Any owner who drafted low on Benson is likely sitting near the top of the standings as the playoff run begins.
While all leagues have their unique scoring system, one thing is certain. If an owner misses on a first or second round pick, their season is usually over by mid-season. This year is no exception.
Owners who went all in with running backs such as Matt Forte or Michael Turner are most likely watching their friends in the playoffs this week. Similarly, an owner who mortgaged the house on Matt Ryan should be looking for the deed to hand over.
With all of the ups and downs, the game still comes down to who drafted the best team. That is what these next few weeks will determine. Any player looking to win a title had better have luck on their side, because in fantasy football, the old adage holds true. It is better to be lucky than good.
