Fantasy Football Update Has A Pair Of Eagles Leading The Way

The fantasy football season has gone into full swing in week three of the NFL season, and there have been many surprises this season so far, but perhaps, none bigger than Donavan Mcnabb and Brian Westbrook of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Mcnabb is currently the overall leader in fantasy points in Yahoo Sports with over 82 points, and Westbrook comes in at #3 with 70 points.

Of course, each fantasy football league is set up differently, so this is just a sample of a basic league Yahoo sets up.

Other surprises at the top of fantasy rankings are Eli Manning, with the second highest point total after week 3.

Even more shocking than Manning is Brett Farve, considered washed up by many, who currently is the fifth leading scorer in the league.

On the flip end of the spectrum are the under achievers, namely Terrell Owens with under 16 points so far.

Antonio Gates, a high pick in most leagues, and considered a top 3 tight end has under 15 points.

Others who are shocking fantasy owners so far are Rex Grossman of the Bears and Chad Pennington of the Jets, two quarterbacks who came into the season on the hot seat with their respective teams.

As the season moves along fantasy owners will expect that the high profile players will begin to produce as expected.
