Final Four Betting Begins With North Carolina A Heavy Favorite

The Louisville Cardinals were the number one overall seed in the NCAA Tournament this year, and up until Sunday, they looked every bit the part. Then they ran into a ferocious Michigan State team, and it was lights out for the Cardinals.

Now the Final Four is set and judging from the betting odds it appears that North Carolina is the new favorite to win the title. The Tar Heels will play against Villanova on Saturday night.

The betting line for that game is North Carolina -7.5. That does not come as a surprise after most of the country watched the Tar Heels easily dispose of both Gonzaga and Oklahoma over the past weekend.

Villanova has played the best defense in the tournament so far, as evidenced by their beat down of Duke on Thursday night. They then needed a last second layup to knock off number one seeded, and Big East foe, Pittsburgh.

In the other semi-final match up it will be Michigan State against Connecticut. The Huskies spend some time this season as the top team in the country and they look to have regained that form in the tournament. They are four point favorites over the Spartans.

The games begin on Saturday with Michigan State and Connecticut playing at 6:04 PM. That game will be followed by North Carolina and Villanova, which is currently scheduled for 8:44 PM.
