Florida State Seminoles Looking To Spoil Gators Title Hopes
The Florida State Seminoles looked at their schedule after defeating Miami on college football's opening weekend and had their road to the national title paved for a smooth ride with all their difficult games at home.
Almost three months later, the Seminoles season has been reduced to the role of spoiler when they host Florida on Saturday afternoon.
After beating the Canes in the Orange Bowl the Seminoles' offense has gone stagnant and the defense, which has always been the backbone of the team, has gotten pushed around for the better part of the season.
No matter how badly the 'Noles season has turned, they know that a win over Florida tomorrow will wipe away many of this season's wounds.
Over in Gainesville, the Gators have much bigger fish to fry this year than the Seminoles as they are in the thick of the National Title hunt, but they must take a lesson from today's Texas-Texas A&M game, a rival can destroy all your dreams in the matter of sixty minutes of football.
So the game will come and go, and another chapter in this storied tradition will have been written, we just do not know whether the chapter will be titled "FSU crushes Florida's dreams", or "Gators bowl over rival on way to title."
The answers will all be answered on Saturday afternoon in Florida's state capitol, Tallahassee.
