Rafael Nadal has been nearly unbeatable at the French Open. That was until this past weekend when Nadal was upset. That loss opened the door for Roger Federer to become the new betting favorite to win the French Open title.

It has been a long, painful road for Federer in Paris. He has been the dominant force in men's tennis for quite some time now, but the one title he still has not claimed is the French Open. This appears to be as good a year as any for him to get that first title.

Standing in his way on the other side of the court in several different finals matches has been Nadal. he was considered to be unbeatable on clay, and especially at the French Open. That is what made his shocking exit even more remarkable this year.

"I think that it's anyone's tournament," said Women's great Serena Williams, "You can't just say, Oh, I can win it now. He (Federer) still has to win all these matches. He's a great player, and obviously I want to see him do well."

With Nadal out of the tournament, many are counting on Federer to finally hoist the French Open trophy. he still has some tough competitors to get by on his way to that championship.

Andy Roddick is still around, so is Andy Murray. Tommy Robredo is also still playing, ad he wants nothing to do with the Federer, Nadal talk.

"I don't want to talk about Rafa. I'm here to talk about myself, I'm ready. I'm playing good ball and I'm in the quarter-finals," said Robredo.
