Fun And Games Over, Time For NBA All Star Game Betting

The NBA creates quite a stir when they come to a city for their annual All Star Weekend. In the past, the powers that be in the NBA thought that it would be a good idea to hold the event in Las Vegas. This year, however, it was a city that has an NBA franchise, Phoenix, that was able to play host.

The weekend brings with it plenty of opportunities for gamblers. There is the rookies game. Then there is the celebrity game. The biggest draw, however, is on Saturday night. That is when bettors can make their predictions on who will win the Three Point and Slam Dunk contests.

After all of the showcasing is over the weekend lends itself to the main event, and that happens tonight. Gamblers will have one last chance to bet and it will be on the game itself. The Western Conference is currently favored in the game by three points.

The total in these games is typically high because there is not much defense that is played. For this year, the total is 264. With all of the stars of today, that number does not seem out of the realm of possibility.

Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan, and Chris Paul lead the West squad. Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, and King James lead the East. With many of these players recently playing together in the Olympics, there may be some exciting set plays already in the works.

Game time is set for 8:20 Eastern time, but may begin later than that. The players will have the option of leaving it all out on the court because Monday is an off day before many teams return to work on Tuesday.
