Gamblers Beware of Betting on NFL Games With Playoff Implications

The NFL has its share of upsets during the year. Never is that more true than at the end of the season when teams are battling for their playoff lives.

Several teams go into this weekends NFL games with a chance to either gain playoff spots or get closer to earning a playoff birth. That does not mean these teams are gambling locks.

The New York Giants are one of the teams that gamblers should be weary of this week. They are traveling to play a team in Buffalo that looks like a playoff team one week and a team looking for the first pick in the draft the next. The Giants are 2.5 point road favorites. Beware!

Cleveland has been the surprise of this NFL season. they are currently a half game behind Pittsburgh for the division lead. they also are in control of their own destiny in the race for the last playoff spot. This week, they also go on the road as favorites. 2.5 is the number over the Bengals. Cincy has revenge on their minds from the teams first meeting. Beware!

Minnesota is another team that controls its own playoff destiny. The Vikings are one of the few teams in the playoff chase that are playing at home. They are favored by 6 over Washington. Beware!

Most other games involve teams that need help to reach the playoffs. That means the pressure will be high and teams will be primed for being upset. Bettors, beware!
