Gamblers Exhale After Palmer's Monday Night Performance
Football bettors around the world took a huge sigh of relief on Monday night, as Cincinnati Bengals starting quarterback Carson Palmer had a successful return from a 2005 season ending knee injury.
Palmer returned to action on Monday night football and all the worries of the gambling nation and his teammates were put to rest by his dominating performance.
Palmer finished the night 9-14 for 140 yards and three touchdowns and answered any questions regarding whether he was ready to return from the devastating injury that ended his 2005 season.
Bengals coach Marvin Lewis, who gas maintained all along that Palmer was healthy and would be fine had this to say after the game, "He's our quarterback, he got injured, he's come back from the injury, and now we can move on." He went on to say,"It's over now, O.K.? He's back. He's playing. He'll start in Kansas City."
The news from Monday nights games was welcomed from gamblers who have placed money on the results of the Bengals for this season.
