Gamblers Take A Beating With College Football Upsets Saturday
The first few weeks of the college football season is when gamblers are supposed to stock up on easy money, as the odds makers adjust to how teams play before making it nearly impossible for gamblers to win.
Not so much the case in the season's third week. There were upsets all over the board on Saturday, on a day that will certainly have erased any early season profits for gamblers.
UCLA was a team that was poised to steamroll Utah and create money making opportunities for gamblers. Not so fast, all the Bruins did was get embarrassed in losing a game by more than five touchdowns, that will kill even the best of gambling teasers.
Arkansas was another team that gave gamblers fits on Saturday. The Razorbacks had a spread low enough that would make the game seem like a gimme against overpowered Alabama, but the Crimson Tide pulled the upset and continued the struggles for bettors.
Tennessee did not do anyone any favors by getting wiped out in the Swamp, and Georgia Tech, who looked strong early in the season, took a tough loss as well.
The experts warned all week about the match up up rivals Louisville and Kentucky and the potential for an upset. Those that did not heed the warning dipped further into their bank accounts as the Wildcats indeed pulled of the upset.
It is early in the season, but with the amount of upsets on Saturday could definitely put some gamblers in the hole going into next week's games.
