Giants And Eagles Playing in Huge NFC Showdown

The New York Giants started this season on a roll and were many peoples pick to win the NFC and play in the Super Bowl, however, since the early weeks the Giants have struggled and now face a big game in their playoff hopes.

Philadelphia has traveled a similar road as the Giants getting off to a quick start behind their quarterback Donovan McNabb, who appeared to be the early season favorite for MVP, but that was all before McNabb's season ending injury, and Philly now also finds themselves fighting for their playoff lives.

Both teams seem to have regained their early season form and both teams come into the game with 7-6 records. The winner of this game will have a game lead on the other going into the final two games of the year.

Philadelphia has regained it's offensive form in large part because of the play of journeyman quarterback Jeff Garcia as he seems to be playing at the level he did when playing for the 49ers.

The Giants can also attribute their resurgance to the play of it's quarterback Eli Manning. Manning was being ripped in the media through the middle part of the season for making too many costly mistakes. The problem, however, seems to have run its course as Manning is playing much better of late.

Gametime for Sunday's game is set for 4:15 at Giant Stadium at the Meadowlands and will be broadcast nationally live on FOX.
