The Dallas Cowboys and their owner Jerry Jones are hoping that they end this season at home, playing for a Super Bowl title in front of their home crowd. While they are betting favorites to win the NFC, the Cowboys will start the season as underdogs.

The Hall of Fame game 2010 betting odds have the Cincinnati Bengals favored over the Cowboys this evening in Canton, Ohio. The Bengals are favored by 2.5 points, and the total for the first pre-season game of the NFL season is 32.5.

The low total suggests that defenses will rule the opening game. The starters are only expected to play one or two series' at the most, and some starters will likely skip the game altogether. This early in training camp, the game is mostly about the young talent.

The Cowboys return many starters from a team that won their first playoff game in over a decade last season. This year, one playoff win will not be enough to quench the thirst of Jones. The Cowboys owner has made it clear that he expects his team to be taking part in the Super Bowl.

The Bengals will have similar aspirations heading into the season. Cincinnati signed Terrell Owens to sure up the week link wide receiver corp from last year. Owens will team with Chad Ocho Cinco in the hopes of delivering both their first Super Bowl title.

In order to reach the Super Bowl, both teams will have tough roads to navigate. In the NFC, green Bay, Arizona, Minnesota, and New Orleans are all expected to compete for the conference.

In the AFC, defending champion Indianapolis is joined by San Diego, New England, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, the Jets, Dolphins, and Bengals as teams that could be playing in February.
