If there is one thing Jerry Jones has been good at over the years it is stirring the pot when it needs mixing in Dallas. His Cowboys are on the verge of a collapse, and Jones is not pushing the right buttons to turn things around.

Yesterday the final chips fell on a season of controversy for the Cowboys. Their star receiver who they thought they had corralled, has once again lashed out at one of his quarterbacks.

Terrell Owens and Tony Romo played the close relationship card for several years, but that was when Dallas was winning. Romo should have known as soon as the ship started to rock that Owens would be the first to throw the quarterback overboard.

Owens has accused Romo and tight end Jason Witten of drawing up their own plays to use in games on the weekend, and in the process, have left T.O. out. This is how it all starts.

Dallas is fighting for the final playoff spot in the NFC and all that has come out of their camp in the past few weeks is negativity. First it was owner Jones calling out the toughest of Cowboys, Marion Barber, for, of all things, not being tough.

Now it is Owens lashing out at his quarterback. Everyone has been down this road before, and it usually ends with Owens wearing a different color uniform in the near future.

Cowboy fans have been quick to point out that Bill Parcells was not the architect behind this current team and that they are better off without him. For one year, the honeymoon period, it looked as though they may be right.

Now, however, Parcells has taken his talent evaluating to Miami and has the Dolphins, a 1-15 team last year, on the verge of a division title. The Cowboys? They are about to become of those teams that has all the talent in the world, yet has nobody to lead that talent to the promise land.
