Hurricanes And Seminoles Pin Hopes on Quarterback's in Opener
The Miami Hurricanes and Florida State Seminoles will face off tonight in a wet atmosphere at the Orange Bowl in Miami, and both teams hope their starting quarterbacks have matured enough to lead them to a title run.
Kyle Wright leads Miami tonight in hopes of erasing the memories of last seasons stagnant Canes offense. Stagnant of course only to hurricane standards as the first year starter led the ACC in touchdowns last year. So what can Miami do to improve over last year when Wright was sacked 9 times by the Noles?? Wright believes he had something to do with the sacks, not blaming his offensive line saying, "I was part of that, holding the ball too long. I've learned, I'm ready."
On the other side of the ball Drew Weatherford has gone through a similar learning curve for Florida State. He had 18 interceptions last year, a number that must improve with Xavier Lee looking over his shoulder and ready to take over.
VIP Sportsbook has the betting line at Miami-3, if your going to win tonights game, the key could be figuring out which of these two quarterbacks will have grown up the most over the past year.
