Hurricanes Looking For Upset as Smoke Clears in The Orange Bowl
The University of Miami has been entering through the famed smoke of the Orange Bowl for quite a long time, they have won numerous national championships and had even more memorable games at the site. Now they get to emerge from the smoke for possibly the last time at night when UM plays host to #20 Texas A&M tonight.
There have been hall of fame quarterback's that have run through the smoke, there also have been Heisman trophy winners, and first round draft picks, many first round draft picks, but time does not stand still, and that means change for what players affectionately call The U.
Next season the Canes move their home from Coral Gables up to the stadium that occupies the Dolphins, where they will call home from now on.
It will be business as usual tonight as Miami tries to do what so many Miami teams from the past have done, knock off a ranked opponent that is supposed to be more talented than the Hurricanes.
The season has started slowly for the canes as they are 2-1, but their loss was a drubbing at the hands of #3 ranked Oklahoma, and their wins over two inferior teams in Marshall and FIU.
Game time for tonight's game is set for 7:45 and it will be televised on ESPN. A national audience is something that has always inspired the Canes, and tonight they will once again be the center of the college football universe, even if it is only for one night. The team might be prepared, but if one thing is for certain, the Orange Bowl will be ready to rock, just as it has so many times before.
