Italy Favored Over France in World Cup Final
Bookmakers around the world are facing their busiest weekend in four years when gamblers hoping for a big payout will be placing their bets for the World Cup final Sunday between Italy and France.
"It's been extremely busy, a lot more than the Euro Cup (two years ago)," said a spokesman for England-based sports agency, Bowman's.
"The early money has come in on Italy, but anything can happen," said the spokesman, who expects the final surge Saturday evening.
Bowman's said Italy is favoured to win 6:4, while the odds for a victory by Les Bleus are 9:5.
Italian gamblers are optimistic their home team will win, and SNAI sports betting in Rome said their odds favour the Azzurri.
