Jacksonville Rises To The Top After Monday Night Performance
Monday night was supposed to be a showcase of two of the top teams in the NFL this season and it did not disappoint as the Jacksonville Jaguars defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 9-0.
The Jaguars were led by a strong effort on the defensive side of the ball as they shut out the defending super bowl champions.
The game was scoreless at half as both teams struggled to produce any kind of offense.
In the second half, the Jaguars took advantage of turnovers and turned them into field goals, which was enough for a defense that flustered the Steelers offense all night.
Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was playing in his first game of the season and looked as much as many of his passes were off the mark and his timing with his recieves was not there.
It was reported that Roethlisberger also had a 104 degree fever earlier in the day.
Both teams have to move on quickly as the Jaguars face Indianapolis on Sunday and the Steelers take on Cincinnati.
Jacksonville is 2-0 and the Steelers fell to 1-1.
