Lakers Provide Sports Bettors With Worry In Game Six

The Los Angeles Lakers are the best team in the NBA when they are playing at their top form. No analyst has doubted that. What is in doubt from game to game, is which Lakers team is going to show up.

That is the question that will be on the minds of many gamblers going into tonight's game six in Denver. If the real Lakers show up, they should end the series and move on to the NBA Finals. If the bad Lakers show up, the series will be headed back to L.A. for a game seven on Sunday.

"This Lakers team is a nightmare for gamblers," said observer Harvey Truman, "when they play like they are capable of, they will destroy a point spread, but when they play below their talent level, they can cost gamblers dearly."

The Nuggets have a little of the same thing going on. They look great for portions of the game, but then they melt down in the most critical of times. It has been a Western Conference Finals that no gambler can figure out.

Los Angeles has been in this position before. They were up three games to two against an undermanned Rockets team in the last series. Houston dismantled the Lakers in game six, before bowing out in game seven.

The Nuggets have not been in this position before. They dominated both of their first two series' and now must show that the pressure of an elimination game is not too much for them to handle.

The current betting line for tonight's game is Denver -5.5. The total for the game is 209.
