Little League World Series Teams Are Set in Williamsport

Little League baseball is coming to an end for another season, and after a long grueling haul for many little leaguers, 16 teams are in Williamsport Pennsylvania to battle it out to be the best Little League team in the World.

Here's a look at the teams that will enter pool play on Friday, August 17th.

In pool A, the little leaguers from Walpole, Massachusetts must have learned something from watching the Red Sox play, because they won the New England region. Lake Oswego, Oregon won the Northwest region. Warner Roberts, Georgia will be representing the Southeast region, and Hamilton, Ohio comes out of the Great Lakes region.

Pool B has Salisbury, Maryland from the Mid Atlantic region. Arizona has not only the Diamondbacks playing well, but the little league team from Chandler, Arizona will represent the West. Lubbock, Texas is from the Southwest and Coon Rapids, Minnesota from the Midwest.

The International pools are set as well and they go as follows, pool C has Willemstad, Curacao from the Caribbean. Curacao has become a regular at the series in recent years. Tokyo Kitasuna comes over from Japan. White Rock, British Columbia from Canada, and a shocker comes out of the Transatlantic, as Dharan,Saudi Arabia gets the nod.

Pool D holds the last of the teams and they are Mexicali, Baja California comes from Mexico. Taichung, Taiwan represents Asia-Pacific. Apeldoorn, Netherlands comes from EMEA, and Maracaibo, Venezuela emerges from Latin America.
