LSU Tigers The Unanimous #1 in Latest College Football Polls
The LSU Tigers have been challenged now by two top 25 teams and after Saturday's come from behind win over Florida, the Tigers have survived both tests and are now the #1 team in the country according to all the pollsters.
California jumped up to the #2 spot after watching their conference foe USC fall from the ranks of the unbeaten late Saturday. The Trojans dropped all the way to #10 after the upset loss to Stanford.
Ohio state won their top twenty five showdown against Purdue in impressive fashion and they are now the #3 team in the country.
Boston college, which continues to impress, jumped to #4 after winning again and raising their record to a perfect 6-0.
South Florida survived a scare against in state rival FAU and moves up from #6 to #5, and the spot they previously owned is now occupied by Oklahoma after they defeated Texas in a Big Twelve battle.
Steve Spurrier has his Gamecocks up to #7 after manhandling previously unbeaten Kentucky on Thursday night.
West Virginia moved up to #8 and Oregon is now in the top ten coming in at #9.
Rutgers, Clemson, Purdue, Kansas State, and Nebraska all fell out of the top twenty five after losing over the weekend.
