LSU Tigers Trying To Rebound On College Football Saturday Night
The LSU Tigers had the rest of the college football world right where they wanted them last week. The top team in the nation at the time, Oklahoma, had just lost, and the Tigers were poised to take over the top spot.
Then they entered The Swamp. That is where they found a bunch of hungry Gators that dismantled the defending national champions piece by piece. Now they are stuck having to pick up the pieces.
The Tigers will try and rebound from that loss when they take on South Carolina tonight. If they win, things will be back to normal, but if they lose, their national championship hopes will be gone.
Although last year the Tigers went to the title game with two losses, that most likely will not be the case this year. There are still a handful of undefeated teams and there are many teams, including the Gators, with only one loss.
For LSU to have any chance of repeating, they will have to run the table in the regular season and then win the SEC Championship game. Those are two tall tales facing a team that did not look like a championship team last week.
South Carolina was a popular choice to make an impact before the year started. They have struggled at times, but they know that a victory tonight over LSU will begin the turnaround to a so far disappointing season.
