Major League Baseball Gambling Just One Day Away
The Major League Baseball season started this past week in Japan, and although the games counted, the feel was not the same as it will be on Sunday night.
Gamblers have been waiting a whole year to begin placing their bets on games again. On Sunday night, they will once again have their chance.
The games in Japan were a nice showcase to the rest of the world, but for Americans, it will be Sunday night that actually kicks off the 2008 season. The game could have been a better choice by the league, but nonetheless, it will still be opening day.
The game features the Atlanta Braves and the Washington Nationals. The Braves are expected to contend in the National League East, while the Nationals are still rebuilding.
Gamblers will be interested in the game, if only for the reason that they will be able to actually place a bet on a major league game for the first time in a long time.
The game will be shown on ESPN.
