Manchester United Betting On Experience To Win FA Cup
Manchester United was laying without many of their senior members when they faced Tottenham in their most recent match. that did not deter the club from focusing on their goal of winning the FA Cup.
All of the scoring in a 2-1 victory by Manchester came within a one minute span. First, Paul Scholes broke through, then Dimitar Berbatov struck. The two goals quickly erased what had been a 1-0 lead for Tottenham.
The match was marred in controversy after television announcers Terry Sherrigham and Andy Townsend were critical of the effort that Tottenham gave. They both felt that after Manchester took the lead, Tottenham players gave up.
"I don't know what game they can have been watching. How can they say we didn't try? Everyone wants to jump on Tottenham at the moment. I was happy with the effort today," said Harry Redknapp, of his teams performance.
Manchester moved one step closer to a FA Cup championship with the victory. They are now in the final sixteen teams left playing for that title. The team is headed to West Brom this week.
Injuries are becoming a major concern for Manchester. They were already playing without ten of their senior members and they now will add Danny Welbeck and Fabio to the list of players that will not accompany the team on their upcoming trip.
