Many Betting Jordan Will Lead Best Class Ever Into NBA Hall Of Fame
One of the most universal agreements that exists among sports fans who debate topics for a living is that Michael Jordan is the best basketball player of all time. While Jordan will not admit that, he will have to hear it a lot this weekend as he enters the Pro Basketball Hall of Fame.
The class of this year is being touted by many experts as the best that has ever gone into the Hall. Jordan will be joined by fellow players John Stockton and David Robinson, and coaches Vivian Stringer from Rutgers and Jerry Sloan of Utah.
Although Jordan is at the head of the class, he is not totally thrilled about going into the Hall of Fame. He has made many statements claiming that the Hall is final, and Jordan likes to believe that if he wanted to, he could still play professional basketball.
"I always want to be able to have you think that I can always go back and play the game of basketball, put my shorts on,' said Jordan, "As long as you have that thought, you never know what can happen. And you never know what my abilities can do. Am I? No, but I like for you to think that way."
In recent years Jordan has geared his competitive fire towards the golf course. It is well-known that Jordan takes on all comers on the course, and most of the time there is a significant wager on the round.
On any given year, Stockton or Robinson would be the headliner, much like a rock star who has openers lead into their concert. Unfortunately for the two players and the otwo coaches that will be enshrined tonight, they just happen to be touring with the NBA equivalent of The Beatles.
