March Madness Betting Continues With Sweet Sixteen Games Tonight
March Madness is one of the biggest times of the year for sports gamblers. The first weekend is a free-for-all with thirty two games in the first round and sixteen games in the second round.
Tonight, the Sweet Sixteen round of betting begins with four games being played. The other four games will be played on Friday, and the Elite Eight games will be played on Saturday and Sunday.
Of the eight games that will be played over the next two days, tonight's match ups carry with them the most intrigue. Two number one seeds will be taking the floor and both will face stiff competition.
Pittsburgh will be playing against Xavier. The Panthers are a seven point favorite, but nobody is counting Xavier out of this game. They have been one of the most consistent teams all year long.
Connecticut, many experts' pick to win the entire tournament, will be facing Purdue out of the Big Ten. Purdue is more than capable of pulling the upset, although they are 6.5 point underdogs.
The game that will most likely receive the most attention in sportsbooks is Duke against Villanova. These are two teams that are both good enough to win a national championship. The Blue Devils are favored by 2.5 points.
The last of the four games has a team playing that has not yet lost since the calendar has switched to 2009. The Memphis Tigers are 4.5 point favorites over Missouri. Many experts believe this is where the upset of the night could come from.
