Mets Look To Take 2-0 Lead In NLCS Tonight
The Mets are riding a four game postseason winning streak and are looking to take a two games to none lead in their best of seven series with the Cardinals.
It will not come easy though, as they face the reigning NL Cy yound award winner in Chris Carpenter. Carpenter has again posted big numbers this season and is one of the front runners to win his second straight Cy Young award.
The Cardinals pushed Carpenter's start up from game three to game two after the first game of the series was postponed due to rain.
The Mets will be playing game 2 without Cliff Floyd, who re-injured his leg in game 1. Endy Chavez is expected to take Floyd's place in the line up.
Game 2 will be played at Shea Stadium in New York before the scene shifts to St.Louis Saturday for games 3, 4, and 5. Should the series go longer then that, games 6 and 7 will be back in New York.
