Mike Matusow injected some life into the poker pros who have had a difficult time securing bracelets so far this year in the World Series of Poker. Matusow won Event 18, a No-Limit 2-7 Draw Lowball w/ ReBuys tournament.

Matusow is known just as much for his mouth as his card playing skills. His skills, however, were on display while taking home first place in the tournament. He beat out an impressive bunch of names to win the title.

Jeffrey Lissandro finished the tournament in second place. He won $347,004. Erick Lindgren finished fourth and David Benyamine seventh. They won $156,151 and $58,990, respectively. Matusow won $537,862 for finishing first.

While that was the only tournament to finish since our last update, several others are nearing their final stages. Vanessa Selbest has the chip lead at the final table of Event 19, a Pot-Limit Omaha tournament. She has a chip lead of nearly 700,000 chips over the next closest competitor.

The final table is set in a $2,000 buy in, Limit Hold'em event. Daniel Negreanu is sitting in third place in the chip count with 308,000. Fu Wong, who already has made a final table in this year's WSOP, is at it again, although there is some work to do. Wong only has 67,000 chips left to play at the final table.

The two tournaments that began on Wednesday are in progress, and two others are set to begin today.
