N.F.L. Point Spread Over-Unders For Week Two Have Defensive Theme
The N.F.L. season kicked off this past week, and many teams put on impressive defensive performances, causing oddsmakers to adjust to lower over-under game totals for week two.
Three teams last week threw shutouts on their opponents, Baltimore over Tampa Bay, San Diego over Oakland, and Chicago over Green Bay.
Also, there were ten teams who gave up less than 16 points in their games.
Oddsmakers have made the adjustments for week two as there are ten games on the schedule with point spread over unders of 40 or lower.
The lowest of these point totals is the Chicago-Detroit game which has a total of 32 points. This comes on the heels of Chicago shutting out Green Bay on the road, and Detroit holding last years N.F.C. champion Seattle to no touchdowns and just nine points.
There are two games on the board this week with high totals, Houston at Indianapolis, and Arizona at Seattle, both of which have a total of 47.
