N.F.L. Point Spreads in Week 2 Heavy On Divisional Match Ups
It is only week two of the N.F.L. season, but already oddsmakers are faced with the task of figuring out who will be dominant inside their divisions, as 11 of the 16 games this weekend involve teams playing divisional games.
The most prominant of the games involve teams who are projected to compete for divisional championships, Seattle is at home facing Arizona, and is favored by a touchdown, the Giants are on the road to face Philadelphia, the Eagles are 3 Point favorites.
An interesting match up will be in Denver, where the Broncos, coming off a surprising loss to St. Louis, will face Kansas City, a team that will be playing without quarterback Trent Green, who was injured Sunday against Cincinnati. The Broncos are favored by over 10 points.
The other inter division games are Houston at Indianapolis, Cleveland at Cincinnati, Buffalo at Miami, Detroit at Chicago, St. Louis at San Francisco, New England at the Jets.
One game that has signifigant meaning is the Redskins traveling to Dallas to face the Cowboys, both teams were in vogue picks to win their division but lost on opening week. The loser will go to 0-2, not a good start for a team with super bowl aspirations.
