NBA Betting Odds: Celtics Favored At Home Over Lakers

Coming into this year's NBA Finals, there were many similarities to the finals two years ago. First off, the teams are the same, and secondly, the Lakers were picked by many to win the series. Los Angeles was the betting favorite to win both games in L.A., but came away with only one victory.

Now, the series heads back to Boston, and the venue, and the favorite, has changed. Boston is a 2.5 point favorite for game three tonight. The total for the game has been set by odds makers at 192.5. Foul trouble has kept some of the top stars in the series on the bench, and both teams are expecting that to change this evening.

Kobe Bryant had to play much of the fourth quarter timidly after picking up his fifth foul in game two. Bryant assured the media earlier this week that he does not plan on having five fouls in game three. On the Celtics side, it has been Kevin Garnett who has been in foul trouble.

The Lakers will have to win at least one of the three games in Boston this week to get the series back to L.A. Andrew Bynum has already commented on how the goal of the team is to take two of the three games, and then wrap up the title in one of the final two games at home.

Pau Gasol and Bynum were dominant inside for the Lakers in game two, and they believe they can duplicate that play again in game three. The Celtics will be looking to get Paul Pierce going after two disappointing games in Los Angeles.

Rajon Rondo played brilliantly in game two, and the Lakers will need to find a way to slow Rondo and Boston's quick break down. One way to do that is to be more efficient on the offensive end of the court. Game time tonight is 9PM, and the game will be televised live on ABC.
