The Los Angeles Lakers have a chance tonight to make it back to the NBA Finals for a third consecutive season. If they win, L.A. will find a familiar foe in the Boston Celtics waiting for them.

The Lakers won game five at home against Phoenix on a buzzer beating layup by Ron Artest. Now, they head back to Phoenix with a golden opportunity to not only meet Boston, but to avenge a finals loss to the Celtics just two seasons ago.

Kobe Bryant and his teammates understand the importance of tonight's game. If they win, they will get four days off until game one of the finals next Thursday. A loss, however, will have the Lakers in L.A. playing Phoenix in a game seven on Sunday.

The Suns believe they can take the series back to Los Angeles. If not for Artest's buzzer beater, many analysts believed that Phoenix had the momentum on their side if they would have gone to overtime. Of course, that did not happen, and the Suns are facing an elimination game this evening.

Steve Nash and Bryant were both excellent in game five, but it will be the role players who decide tonight's game. Phoenix's bench has been the key to the series so far. In the games the Suns have won, the bench has crushed the Lakers bench, and in their losses, the bench has sputtered.

The bench has played much better at home, giving Phoenix hope that they can beat the Lakers and head back to California. Los Angeles will pin their hopes on the experience they have accrued over the past three years in the playoffs.
