NBA Betting Odds Now Leaning Heavily Towards Cavaliers
The Cleveland Cavaliers came into the NBA playoffs this year with the best record in the league. Still, however, some sportsbooks had the Los Angeles Lakers as the team to beat.
Now, with the Lakers struggling with an undermanned Houston team, and the Cavaliers set to close out their second consecutive series sweep, the odds have shifted. Cleveland is now the team that appears to be unstoppable.
Cleveland has not just won their games so far this postseason, they have blown out the Pistons and the Hawks. They are winning by double digits on a nightly basis, and will have some time off before their next series if they win in Atlanta tonight.
While the Hawks have not matched up well with Cleveland, Detroit was a different story. The Pistons were a team that have made conference finals appearances four years in a row. The Cavaliers made sure early and often that the Pistons knew that was not going to occur this year.
Cleveland is led by LeBron James, the best player on the planet. He is fresh off of his MVP award winning season, and looks like he desperately wants to add an NBA championship to his trophy case this summer.
While the Lakers are playing down to their competition, Cleveland is slaughtering theirs. Boston or Orlando could both change that in a hurry in the next round, but the way the Cavs are playing, nobody is believing that this train can be stopped once, much less four times in one series.
