NBA Betting Odds: Suns Looking To Even Series With Lakers

The Western Conference Finals were playing out perfectly for the Los Angeles Lakers after the first two games. The Lakers won both games at home, and looked poised to finish off the Phoenix Suns with a sweep on their way to the NBA Finals.

After Sunday's loss in Phoenix, however, the Lakers are now just looking to get out of Phoenix with a win. If the Suns can win tonight on their home court, the series would head back to L.A. with tied.

That is far from the scenario that analysts envisioned after the first two games. The Lakers looked dominant, and appeared as though their height advantage would be too much for Phoenix to deal with. The Suns responded by creating their own problems for the Lakers.

In game three, Phoenix used a zone defense to confuse Los Angeles and force the defending champions into crucial turnovers and missed shots. If they can do that again tonight, the Suns will have made the rest of the Western Conference Finals worth watching.

If the Lakers can make the necessary adjustments and take game three, again the analysts will be convinced it will be a short series. Coach Phil Jackson has shown a knack for making key adjustments in past playoff series' on his way to all of his titles.

Andrew Bynum will play tonight despite Jackson asserting that he may keep the center out of game four. Lamar Odom will have to have a strong comeback game after disappearing in game three, and Amare Stoudemire and Steve Nash must again play well for Phoenix to have a chance.
