NBA Betting Preview: Lakers Look To Stop Thunder In Game Four
The Los Angeles Lakers are hoping that come June, they are again hoisting the NBA championship trophy. In order for that to happen, L.A. must avoid a long first round series with the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The ensuing series' will be filled with physicality and pressure, so the Lakers must take advantage of their match up with the undersized Thunder. That means Los Angeles must win tonight, if not, the series is guaranteed to go at least six games.
Kobe Bryant and his Lakers teammates have been battling to show that their late season struggles are behind them. The first two games of the Thunder series had provided a vision that the top team in the West was just waiting on the playoffs to turn on the jets.
On Thursday, however, Oklahoma City overcame an early ten point deficit and roared back with a vengeance in the second half. The Thunder stole game three, and if they do the same in game four, Los Angeles could face a stiff test in the final three games of the series.
Bryant has been hobbled by nagging injuries, and he cannot seem to shake his shooting woes as the result of a broken finger on his shooting hand. His counterpart, young star Kevin Durant, has also shot poorly in the series, but has contributed in other areas to help get his team back in the series.
Oklahoma City proved to be a special place for an NBA playoff game on Thursday evening. The Ford Center should be rocking again tonight. After the game, both teams will fly back to Los Angeles and begin preparations for game five.
