NBA Betting Preview: Magic And Lakers Looking For Series Sweeps

The Orlando Magic and Los Angeles Lakers have been the favorites of many analysts to return to the NBA Finals. Despite another strong season from Cleveland, the Magic and Lakers appear to be the most complete teams at this point in the playoffs.

Tonight, both the Magic and Lakers can end their second round series'. Orlando and Los Angeles are both looking to sweep their second round opponents and move on to the conference finals, and to do so, the two teams will have to win on the road.

In game two of both series', the Magic and Lakers have shown they can handle their opponents on the road. Orlando had another easy time with Atlanta in game three, while the Lakers squeaked out a victory in Utah. Now, with the opposing teams battered, Orlando and L.A. look to deliver the knock out blow.

The Magic are playing the best basketball in the NBA, and have been for several months. They bounced their first round opponent, Charlotte, in four games, and now appear intent on doing the same to Atlanta. The lack of tough games could hurt Orlando in the next round when they will face either Cleveland or Boston.

The Lakers, on the other hand, seem to be getting stronger as the playoffs roll along. Kobe Bryant has played several games in a row at the high level people have come to expect after having some lackluster performances early in the playoffs.

The Lakers defeated the Magic in five games last season to win the NBA championship. This year, the Magic are a better overall team, and with just five more wins each separating them from another finals match up, the Lakers may soon get to see just how far Orlando has come.
