NBA Betting Preview: Pressure Shifts To Celtics In Game Six

The Boston Celtics figured by now that they would have wrapped up their Eastern Conference Finals with the Orlando Magic. After winning the first three games, it appeared the Celtics were poised for a sweep.

Then, however, something peculiar happened. The Magic suddenly realized they were the second best team in the East in the regular season, and they started playing accordingly, winning game four in Boston and game five in Orlando.

Tonight, the series shifts back to Boston for game six. Boston fans have already watched their Bruins lose a three to zero lead against the Philadelphia Flyers in the NHL playoffs this season, and a loss by the Celtics tonight would send the entire Boston area into a frantic panic.

Compounding the problems for the Celtics are injuries that are mounting. Glenn Davis sustained a concussion in game five, and may not be available for game six. If that is the case, Boston may have a tough time keeping Dwight Howard off the boards.

Orlando, meanwhile, is starting to play with the swagger they showed through much of the season. The Magic are starting to hit their three pointers, and are playing much more aggressively around the basket. All of these intangibles could prove costly for the Celtics.

If Orlando can steal tonight's game in Boston, game seven would be on the Magic's home court. With the three game lead gone, and facing the prospects of heading to Orlando for game seven, the Celtics may have their best shot at advancing to the finals tonight.
