NBA Betting Preview: Season Comes Down To Tonight For Celtics
The Boston Celtics have enjoyed a lopsided advantage over the Los Angeles Lakers when the two teams have met in the NBA Finals over the years. If Boston wants to continue that dominance, they will have to find a way to win game four tonight at home.
The Celtics handed L.A. back the home court advantage in game three, with Ray Allen going from hero to goat in one game. Paul Pierce has still not shown up offensively for the Celtics, and Kendrick Perkins has also been a non-factor.
The final two games of the series are being played in Los Angeles should the series get that far. Most analysts believe that Boston would have to head back to Southern California with a 3-2 series lead to have any chance of claiming the title.
For the Celtics to accomplish that feat, they will have to find a way to stop L.A.'s big men. Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum have been in control inside the paint, and another game of dominance could put the Lakers on the verge of defending their title.
These are the games that Kobe Bryant and the Lakers have been so good at in recent years. When they find themselves in an opportunity to put a choke hold on a series, they have usually done so. The closed out Oklahoma City, Utah, and Phoenix all on the road.
In game three, Kevin Garnett finally showed the form that helped Boston win a title two years ago. He will need to duplicate that effort and receive help from either Allen or Pierce if Boston is going to get this series back to Los Angeles. Game time tonight is set for 9PM.
