NBA Betting Preview: Suns Look To Sweep Spurs Tonight
When the NBA season began, many analysts believed that the Phoenix Suns would be broken up at some point in the year. The main question heading into the year was which team Amare Stoudemire would be traded to.
That trade never happened, and now the Suns find themselves just one win from the Western Conference finals. Phoenix can wrap up their surprisingly uncompetitive series with San Antonio tonight with a win in San Antonio.
The Suns have already shown they can win in Texas. After winning the first two games of the series at home, the Suns traveled to San Antonio and came away with a game three victory. Now, the Spurs must find some way to keep the series alive.
Coming into the series, it was San Antonio that was receiving all the hype. The Spurs had beaten the second seed, Dallas mavericks, will relative ease in round one. It prompted some NBA analysts to believe that the Spurs may be the best team in the league, but Phoenix has quickly dispelled that notion.
If Phoenix does close out their series with the Spurs tonight, they likely will not have to wait long until they know their opponent in the conference finals. The Los Angeles Lakers are also up 3-0 in their series with Utah.
The Lakers are the two-time defending Western Conference champions, and have looked the part in their series with the Jazz. Los Angeles will have four opportunities to close out Utah and move one step closer to repeating as NBA champions.
