NBA Championship Betting Leaning Heavily Towards Four Teams
The NBA season is just about at its midway point and the teams are starting to show what their true colors are. Four teams, in particular, are gaining the most attention from gamblers in sportsbooks.
The Boston Celtics are the defending NBA champions and up until Christmas it looked as though they would challenge the Chicago Bulls for the best record ever. Now, almost a month later, the Celtics have the fourth best record in the league.
In the Eastern Conference, Boston is now behind two teams in the standings. The Cleveland Cavaliers are tied with the Los Angeles Lakers for the best record in the NBA. They appear ready to challenge Boston for the conference title this year.
Another team that has quietly compiled a better record than Boston in the east is the Orlando Magic. The Magic are getting an MVP caliber season from star Dwight Howard, and could make life in the playoffs difficult for both the Celtics and the Cavaliers.
Speaking of those Lakers, they are playing perhaps the most consistent basketball of any of the top four teams. They have yet to be seriously challenged in the Western Conference, and it looks as though the reigning league MVP, Kobe Bryant, is simply conserving his energy for the playoffs.
